Main Responsibilites:
To work as part of the Personal Lines Division processing all aspects of Personal Lines business including placing the risk, annual renewals, mid term adjustments and claims . The Department is responsible for the provision of all aspects of Personal Lines insurance (except Motor) their clients are both direct clients and through another broker. In order to achieve this, the department works as a team with all staff members effectively doing the same job, but with different specific areas of responsibility in order to ensure that all aspects required to achieve the end results are carried out.
To be able to work as part of the team with an overall aim to be part of an efficient smooth running office, dealing with everyday enquiries over the phone, by post or fax from both clients or brokers.
To be able to liase confidently with Insurers, Underwriters and Loss Adjusters dealing with their queries raised.
To take responsibility for processing the monthly claims bordereaux to Underwriters in respect of their own household binding authority.
Key Skills:
At least 4-5 years experience of working for a Lloyd’s broker dealing with all aspects of household, travel and PA insurance. If not at least 4-5 years household experience with general insurance companies will be considered.
Good communication skills, Good telephone manner. Good understanding of Word and general computer skills such as Outlook, Excel (Sectornet an advantage).
Good general everyday office experience.
